Position Summary

The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing sales plans and coordinating marketing strategies to establish and maintain sales relationships with major accounts and customers. This role works to develop the account management team to maximize profits.

Responsibilities

In this role, your work will focus on medium to long-term planning and face-to-face selling of a variety of products, services and/or solutions across multiple lines of business for a defined group of existing clients including:

  • Developing medium to long-range sales plans and preparing strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with a defined group of existing customers
  • Identifying and managing interactions with assigned group of existing customers to identify cross/up and repeat sales opportunities
  • Resolving problems and ensuring customers receive high quality and expedited customer service
  • Developing client retention and growth plans and strategies for developing profitable business with assigned accounts
  • Reviewing and reporting on customer retention, business opportunity and market trends Incumbents in this specialization may be selling directly to the ultimate purchaser or indirectly through channel partners. Incumbents matching to this specialization are compensated based on achievement of sales targets.
  • Ability to communicate effectively between internal cross functional teams to result in customer project returning sales and profits for the company.
  • Effective and clear communication skills that deliver a concise message on direction of the account to management monthly or as needed.
  • Intermediate or master level skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; 6 y+ years of relevant experience including 3-5 years management or direct/indirect leadership experience
  • Or Master's degree; 4+ years of relevant experience including 2-4 years management or direct/indirect leadership experience
